Sanju Viswanath Samson was born on November 11, 1994, in Pulluvila, Vizhinjam, Trivandrum, Kerala. A right-handed wicketkeeper-batter, he has been a mainstay for India in limited-overs cricket and a star for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL.

He made his T20I debut in July 2015 against Zimbabwe and his ODI debut in July 2021 against Sri Lanka. Samson is known for his clean hitting and agile keeping.
